A SPECIAL WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR
Main Street Theatre began ten years ago with the mission of creating a place where the community of Tucker could produce, participate in, and experience the world of theatrical performance. In those ten years, this company has produced comedies, tragedies, dramas, murder mysteries, dinner theatre, established plays, and original productions, all utilizing the expertise and talent of the Tucker community.
This year, MST took a giant leap into the world of musical theatre with this wonderful production of Oliver! This musical tells the story of Charles Dickens’ novel of the same name, chronicling the plight of a young orphan as he searches the world for a place where he can be loved. On his journey, he is abused, used, and taken in by those who feign love but only wish to use him. He witnesses comradery with the gang, brutality in Bill Sikes, compassion and beauty in Nancy, and finally love and a family.
Oliver is considered one of Dickens’ social novels designed to draw the audience’s attention to the plight of the poor and the corruption of the institutions designed to take care of them. This, like so many of Dickens’ work, reveals the underbelly of the world with its greed, violence, and abuse, especially at the expense of children. But, also like the works of Dickens, it reveals that there is hope and compassion. It is a story of rescue and of coming home.
I am immensely grateful to be able to participate in this great leap forward for Main Street Theatre in telling the story of one of Dickens’ most loved characters.
With much thanks,
Candace Lambert

WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST

RICKY GRIMES (Oliver) is thrilled to make his Main Street Theatre debut in Oliver! He has danced multiple roles in the Northeast Atlanta Ballet’s productions of The Nutcracker and performed in several school plays at Livsey Elementary. Ricky brings passion and excitement to everything he does. When he’s not acting or dancing, he stays active with friends and participates in a variety of extracurricular activities, from Math Club to sports. He is grateful for the support of his family, friends, teachers, and castmates and hopes you enjoy the show!

DAVID GREGORY (Fagin) has lived in Tucker since 1999 and is thrilled to be working with Main Street Theatre for the first time. David has played Fagin before (in 1977; he was 14). As an adult, he has appeared in shows like HMS Pinafore and Guys and Dolls and been a professional ComedySportz improviser. He has been a media creator for more than forty years and a college media instructor for twenty-five. Since 2016, he has been a proud “haunt actor” at Netherworld Haunted House—come see him Fall 2025! He gives many thanks and much love to his biggest supporters, fellow theater nerds Jacqui and Madeline. XOXO

MICHAEL BERNARD (Artful Dodger) is thrilled to be in his second production with Main Street Theatre. He began acting at the age of nine in his school’s Drama Club. Some of his past roles include Benny in My Classmate’s an Alien (Main Street Theatre), Jim Hawkins in Treasure Island (Lionheart Theatre Company), and Marlin in Finding Nemo Jr. (Briarlake Drama Club). Michael is thankful for the great job of the production team working behind the scenes, and is grateful for his friends and family’s love and constant support.

WILL HILTMAN (Bill Sikes) is thrilled to be back with Main Street Theatre and joining this cast of Oliver! He was born and raised in Atlanta and began theatre in middle school, playing the villainous Judd Fry in Oklahoma! A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama, he has previously enjoyed performing in Main Street Theatre’s productions of Sanders Family Christmas, Four Weddings and an Elvis, and Smoke on the Mountain: Homecoming. He’s glad to be sharing the stage with this talented cast and crew once again!

HARLIE SAWTELLE (Nancy) is excited to make her Main Street Theatre debut in Oliver! She has been acting since age six and has continued performing over the years. Some of her previous roles include Penny in Hairspray (Red Phoenix Theatre Company), Dory in Finding Nemo Jr. (Red Phoenix Theatre Company), and Maria in The Sound of Music (Smokerise Academy of the Arts). When she’s not on stage performing, you can find her taking dance classes and spending time with friends. She is grateful to her friends and family for their continued love and support. Enjoy the show!

COCO PERKINS (Bet) is ecstatic to be a part of his second MST production—this time onstage! A soon-to-be graduate from DeKalb School of the Arts, he made his professional debut last summer through the Alliance Theatre’s Palefksy Collision Project, and remains involved there as a member of Teen Ensemble. Other credits include Mr Mushnik in Little Shop of Horrors (D.S.A.), Soldier Doll/Rat King in The Nutcracker (D.S.A.), and Juror #11 in 12 Angry Jurors, for which he won Best Actor for a regional One Act Play competition. He hopes to pursue the performing arts into college, and can’t wait to see where his theatrical journey may take him next!

CHARLES BOHANAN (Mr. Bumble) will be known to MST audiences for The Sunshine Boys, Laughing Stock, and Four Weddings and an Elvis. He has appeared on many local stages since the 1970s, most recently in Sweat, Second Samuel, and Disaster (Onstage Atlanta), Baskerville and The Fantasticks (Merely Players Presents), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Live Arts), Guys and Dolls (Players Guild @ Sugar Hill), A View from the Bridge (Lionheart), Over Coffee (Authenticity Theatre), and Jimmy Carter Stage Left (Carter Center). You can see him frequently on Atlanta streets playing trombone with the Seed and Feed Marching Abominable.

DAVID ANDIGNAC (Mr. Brownlow) studied and performed improv at the Whole World Theater for five years. He performed improvised speaking roles on Personal Injury Court (Morton v Abernathy) and an unaired pilot. He also appeared in Main Street Theatre’s productions of Death by Chocolate, Things My Mother Taught Me, A Murderous Scandal in Tuckerton, Harvey, and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. During the day he is an Alliance Director for Oracle Software. David thanks his wife, Heather, and children – Davey, Gracie and Ben - for their love and support

JACOB ARKIN (Mr. Sowerberry) is delighted to be a part of Main Street Theatre’s first musical. A senior in high school, this is his second production with MST, having played Dick Simmering in last year’s production of Death by Chocolate. Some of his favorite roles (other than that one) include Major-General Stanley in The Pirates of Penzance (Decatur Community Players), Gomez in The Addams Family (SRAA), and Man in Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone (SRAA). Jacob would like to thank his family for being supportive of his time commitments as well as the cast and crew for being so welcoming.

MORGAN CHISLETT (Charlotte) is making her onstage debut in Oliver! Previously, Morgan worked backstage with Main Street Theatre as props master for Steel Magnolias and Kodachrome. By day, Morgan is a library worker in the DeKalb County Public Library system, and by dawn she is usually at the local barn where she has been hanging out with horses for the last decade or so. Morgan is grateful to this community for acting as her gateway into the theatre world, and can’t wait for more, please.

WAYNE KELLEY (Mr. Grimwig) is very happy to be cast in another Main Street Theatre production. He is honored to work with this very talented cast of younger and older performers, as well as the amazing director, Candace. On stage, Wayne has played a psychiatrist, a furniture maker, a prison warden, Santa Claus, a cab driver, a retired British Army Major, and another doctor. He has also been stage manager, assistant director, costumer, dramaturge, and props manager on various productions. He directed a vignette from Almost, Maine for Banned Together: A Censorship Cabaret.

EVAN BRANDONISIO (Noah Claypole) is excited to be a part of his first musical in many years! You may remember him from 99X, ROCK 100.5 or voicing a bevy of other stuff and being a host of far too many podcasts. In 2019 he was awarded Creative Loafing’s “Best Radio Personality of the Year”, as well as “Best Comedy Show of the Year” for Cineprov, which you can still catch every month at The Tara Theater. He hopes you enjoy the show!

PARKS DICKEY (Mrs. Bedwin) is overjoyed to be making her Atlanta theater debut at Main Street Theatre! She is a true Midwestern princess hailing all the way from Minnesota. She studied theater at Marquette University where she continued to grow her love for the arts. Some favorite credits of hers include Mamma Mia (Tanya), Peter and the Starcatcher (Blackstache) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Shwarzy). She’d like to thank her incredibly supportive partner who inspired her to continue pursuing theatre, and her mom who gets to watch every show from the best seat in the house.

Some past favorite roles include Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly, Ms Hannigan in Annie, (Holy Cross Theatre Ministry), Rev. Mother Mary Regina in Nunsense (Onstage Atlanta), Mother Superior in Sister Act (Newton Cty Arts Asso.), and three seasons as Mrs. Claus in A Stone Mountain Christmas. Amelia has been acting in film and television since age 8, with credits including Sweet Magnolia (background), Stranger Things (background), Feel Blue/Less Than I Do (Young Leah), and Guardians of The Galaxy (Star Child). Passionate about storytelling, she loves bringing characters to life on both the screen and stage. When not performing, she enjoys singing, dancing, drawing, and writing. Amelia is grateful to her friends and family for their love and support and would like to thank all those involved in Oliver! for making this one of the most rewarding experiences of her life.

SADIE BROWN (Orphan, Gang) is excited to be making her first appearance with Main Street Theatre in Oliver! Sadie is from Atlanta and has been acting for two years with a handful of plays but this is her first musical! Before acting though, she has been accustomed to roleplay as she loves to play Dungeons and Dragons. She also loves to create art, play video games, swim and listen to music. Sadie loves to make friends and is looking forward to entertaining you with some new ones in this play!

LILIAROSE JOHNSON (Orphan, Gang) is excited to be in her first production with Main Street Theatre and hopes to one day be an on film actress. She is third generation Atlantan and been acting for 6 years in musical and creative theater. Along with acting, LiliaRose has a passion for aerial silks, music, animals, dance and cosmetology. Her family and friends are very important to her. She is excited to be on this adventure with her cousin and best friend, Sadie making new friends along the way. She hopes to have another opportunity to act with Main Street Theater in the near future.

SID Swaminathan (Orphan, Gang) is thrilled to make his stage debut in Main Street Theatre’s production of Oliver! He is nine years old and a third grader at Drew Charter School Elementary Academy in the East Lake neighborhood. Previous credits include a class play about rocks (narrator) and another class play, also about rocks (Ghost Lion). Besides acting and singing, Sid likes geography, video games, and going to basketball games with his dad. Thank you to Mom, Dad, Nan, Nana, Papa, Aaji, and Thatha for all of your support!

MADDIE WESTBROOK (Milk Maid, Ensemble, Dance Captain) is thrilled to be back with Main Street Theatre! This is her 4th show with them and she has recently performed as Lavender in Matilda Jr with Tucker Middle.
