In celebration of our 10th anniversary, Main Street Theatre is thrilled to bring beloved theater classics back to the main stage. We begin the season with Harvey, the very first show Main Street Theatre staged for our Tucker community.
Elwood P. Dowd is a friendly and eccentric man whose best friend is an invisible six-foot-tall rabbit named Harvey. Elwood's peculiar behavior causes consternation for his dear sister, Veta Louise Simmons, who is anxious to find a beau for her lonely daughter. In desperation, Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. However, a comedy of errors ensues and as the characters navigate misunderstandings and mix-ups, they discover the value of kindness, acceptance, and the joyful unpredictability of life. "Harvey" is a heartwarming and whimsical play that celebrates the power of imagination and the true meaning of friendship.
