A SPECIAL WORD FROM THE DIRECTOR
I love photos. I always have. When I was little, I would pore through my parents’ and grandparents’ old photo albums full of curiosity. I loved a disposable camera, whether my shots were worth the cost to print them or not. I adored my state-of-the-art digital camera made for kids. Then in college, my dad gifted me a bright magenta Samsung Vivitar that was nearly glued to my hands.
The photos I took plastered the walls of my dorm room, filled countless photo books, and many still sit on hard drives or have been tragically lost in the digital drives of yesteryear. Each of them represents a memory, frozen in time—moments captured with my favorite people—ones who would come and go in the mini-lifetimes we lead as we grow up.
With an iPhone in hand, now I catch memories in real time with miraculous technology—candids of my handsome fiancé laughing, my niece meeting a sweat bee that landed on her arm, my “fab five” ladies out to dinner to celebrate a birthday, a perfect golden hour. I freeze these moments from my perspective, in hopes to preserve them for the future—ready for recollection at the drop of a hat. Ready to share with whomever will listen to the stories associated with each image.
When I look back on the photo albums of my life so far, I see moments of beauty, history, heritage, art, fun, friendship, love. I can only hope that when I look back at the end, it feels the same.
Kodachrome isn’t about the song, or the type of film, or even Kodak moments—it’s about remembering. It’s about a small town. It’s about love. It’s about moving on.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for letting us share these stories.
To quote the Photographer:
“I want to remember this. Maybe you will too”

WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST
BECK DUFFIELD (The Photographer) is thrilled to bring Suzanne to the Main Street Theatre stage. A lifelong actor, Beck broke a 15-year hiatus in this summer’s Murder Under The Big Top and can’t wait to return for more. When she’s not acting, Beck runs a conflict management firm with her husband, whom she met in a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She’s also a singer, writer, social media content creator, activist, and homeschooling mom of two amazing kids. Beck would like to thank Main Street Theatre for her second break, the cast for keeping her laughing, and her family for supporting her throughout. Enjoy the show! Beep!
PERRY MCWILLIAMS (The Young Man/The Gravedigger) has previously appeared on the Main Street Theatre stage as Henry Mills (Laughing Stock) and Gabe (Things my Mother Taught Me). Other roles include Nick Bottom (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Hysterium (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum), and Mr. Marks (Intimate Apparel). When not acting, Perry coordinates volunteers for Gwinnett/Walton Habitat for Humanity. He thanks the Lord for his love and kindness and his director Carrie for this opportunity. Perry is especially grateful to you, the audience, for supporting the arts. Enjoy the show!
RYAN STROUD (The Hardware Store Owner/ The Policeman) is making his second appearance with Main Street Theatre. He would like to extend his thanks and appreciation to everyone at MST for their support and hard work — “you guys are the best!” Ryan is also truly grateful to Carrie and Jonn for the opportunity to work with such an amazing cast whom he has grown to appreciate and see more as friends than castmates. He would also like to thank his family for their patience and support over the years as he has embarked into another hobby.
CONNIE PEACOCK (The Librarian/The Waitress/Friend) is thrilled to be making her theatrical debut in Kodachrome. After taking on-camera acting classes over the summer to finally pursue her lifelong desire to explore acting, she absolutely fell in love with the craft as an outlet for creativity and emotional expression.Joining the Kodachrome cast has been the perfect opportunity to combine her on-camera training with stage experience to build a well-rounded foundation for her future acting endeavors. She’s beyond grateful for Carrie, Jonn, the whole MST crew, and all of her wonderful castmates for being such welcoming, supportive, and amazing human beings!
JASON OLDHAM (The History Professor/The Perfume Maker/EMT 1) is excited to be welcomed into the Main Street Theatre production of Kodachrome. Jason first got into acting in the second grade as a root in The Giving Tree and went on to (oh, so many years ago) attend a magnet school for the arts before pursuing acting into college. In 2010 he co-wrote and acted in Always Remember the Little Things which won the audience favorite award for the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Festival. If you try hard enough you can find some of his short stories online for a nominal fee.
MARLA KROHN (The Mystery Novelist/The Florist/EMT 2) is a veteran actress who has performed across metro Atlanta for the last four decades, beginning her career as a walk-around Witchiepoo at the World of Sid and Marty Croft. She has directed and performed in a variety of theaters including New Dawn, Lionheart, and Merely Players. She resides in Duluth with her husband, Doug, and dog, Millie, serving as a member the city’s fine art’s league. A respected acting coach, Marla’s students have performed in regional theater as well as Broadway. This is her first production with Main Street Theatre. She would like to thank Carrie for believing in her and Jonn for his support.
KRISTIN WITCHER (Marjory/The Young Woman) is ecstatic to end her 11-year acting hiatus to join Main Street Theatre’s Kodachrome cast. Growing up in Athens, Georgia, Kristin performed onstage as Olive in The Odd Couple, Margot in The Diary of Anne Frank, and Jan in Oh, What a Tangled Web! Kristin enjoys listening, intergenerational friendships, intercessory prayer, neuroscience, Barnes & Noble, faking an English accent, eating mandarins, taking acting classes at Drama Inc., playing pickleball, and speed walking in neighborhoods throughout Atlanta. Often working behind the scenes, Kristin can be found producing commercial videos and geeking out on YouTube while watching camera/audio gear tutorials.
THE CREW
CARRIE HARRIS (Director) Carrie is a North Carolina native and thought she would hate theatre class in high school but then went on to earn her B.A. in Theatre Arts and minor in dance from Catawba College. She previously directed The Curious Savage, The Dining Room, and Things My Mother Taught Me here at Main Street Theatre, and is a frequent costume designer and performer. Some of her favorite onstage roles to date include Shelby (Steel Magnolias), Alice Sycamore (You Can’t Take It With You), and June Sanders (Smoke on the Mountain/Sanders Family Christmas/Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming). She would like to thank her MST family for allowing her to share a little bit of her brain and a lot of her passion with all of you.
JONN MCDANIEL (Stage Manager) is native to Atlanta, where he began performing high school musicals, plays, and in vocal groups. He studied choral music and comparative religions at Mercer University and Georgia State University. He produces Main Street Theatre’s Murder Mysteries. Jonn lives in Tucker and manages his family’s residential property business. Along with performing, he enjoys photography, writing, creating stories with friends, and having fun with his wife and two kids.
MERLE WESTBROOK (Producer) is honored to produce Kodachrome. Producers are the Project Managers of every production at MST—they get the job done! As artistic director, Merle has worked in box office and concessions, directed You Can’t Take It With You and Little Women, and walked on in roles in two shows produced post-COVID. She is proud that MST continues to attract newcomers to their theatre family and is committed to providing a creative, safe, and fun environment for all to discover the joy of building something out of nothing! She thanks her Westbrook Clan, especially her hubby David, for allowing her to do this for almost 10 years!
CHARLIE WASMER (Technical Director) is delighted to be part of the production of Kodachrome. While he won’t be visible on stage, he’s excited to help bring the show to life behind the scenes once again. Charlie is grateful to be a part of Main Street Theater and to be able to pursue his love for theater. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
DAVE CONLEY (Set Design and Construction) has been designing and fabricating sets for Main Street Theatre for five years now. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed the camaraderie and teamwork that volunteering for MST provides. Using a computer design program, he creates the vision for the set, then after approvals, and with the help of others, fabricates any components needed in advance in his garage. Dave leads the install crew and makes sure the set is ready on time for show. The Kodachrome set was simpler than most but has a very poignant quality. Dave lives in Tucker with his lovely wife, Laurie, who also volunteers with MST.
JEFF LECRAW (Sound Design) previously produced sound and tech for weekly kids services at Cross Pointe Church and has been a crew member of previous MST shows. He has performed on MST stages as Titus in The Curious Savage and George Swindell in Murder at the Wake, plus he directed Murder at the Luau. Jeff has performed at ART Station Theatre (Another Night Before Christmas, A Broadway Christmas Carol) and others including Lionheart Theatre (August: Osage County), Agape Players (State Fair), Live Arts Theatre (ReEntry), and New London Theatre (Pygmalion).
WALTER STARK (Lighting Design) took a scenic route through college, studying Theater Arts at UNC-G, Methodist University, and Greensboro College. He earned his BA degree in Speech and Drama from Greensboro College in 1984. He moved to the Atlanta area where he worked for the Center For Puppetry Arts, the Alliance Theater, Theatrical Outfit, Mabu Mines, and several other regional and local theaters. After a couple of decades pursuing interests having nothing to do with the stage, a chance encounter brought him to Main Street Theatre. He is grateful for the opportunity to update his knowledge and skills into this century.
MORGAN CHISLETT (Properties Manager) is thrilled to be back for her second Main Street Theatre production, which also happens to be her second stage production ever. She is exceedingly grateful to MST for the chance to earn her backstage/props wings and get involved in the world of theater during their last main stage production of Steel Magnolias, and would like to send a special thanks to Chris Chambers for generously providing a complete newbie with mentorship and inspiration. She’s had a blast scouring the land for the ephemera of Colchester and hopes you leave inspired to enjoy the little details of life!
LISA KIRCHDOERFER (Costume Design) is delighted to be working with MST. This is her eighth production volunteering in the Costume Department. Before MST, she had never worked in theatre and is grateful for everyone at MST sharing their knowledge and supporting her as she learns the ropes—she’s got the theatre bug now! Being backstage with the crew, and helping bring these productions to life, is her new passion. Although, she jokes that if they ever need someone to pass out on stage, she’s the girl. When she’s not ransacking thrift stores she’s home with her sweet hubby, Brian, and their three pets.
BARBARA MORRIS (Makeup Design) is honored and proud to be a part of Main Street Theatre. She has designed and executed makeups for every main stage production since MST’s inaugural show Harvey. Barbara is a makeup artist who got started way back at Tucker High School (when dinosaurs still roamed the earth). She’s always amazed and impressed with the onstage cast and crew but prefers her behind-the-scenes role. Barbara loves the flexibility and creativity that MST allows her. Thanks, Main Street Theatre, for letting me come and play with you yet again!

OUR VISION
To be a successful and exciting community theatre company that:
- Enhances cultural activities in and around Tucker and the surrounding communities

THE LAMPLIGHTERS CIRCLE
Through generous contributions from our Lamplighters, we are constantly working to make the theatrical experience at Main Street Theatre the best it can be. Because of your gifts, we’re in our ninth season of bringing excellent theatrical experiences to the Tucker community! The COVID-19 pandemic slowed us down, but didn’t stop us! Our smaller audiences were as enthusiastic as ever once we got back on stage! And now we are back to full capacity! With your amazing support, we’re thrilled to be on the stage of the Bill Hines Auditorium at Tucker Recreation Center. We continue our efforts to enhance the Main Street Theatre experience for both our audience and volunteers. YOU have made it possible for us to be Tucker’s community theatre. THANK YOU!

UPCOMING
Our 2023-2024 SEASON CONTINUES IN THE SPRING
April 19 – May 4, 2024
Welcome to Meadowbrook Health Resort where we are dying to see less of you! But unfortunately, as this exclusive wellness retreat prepares for a grand re-opening, folks are dropping like flies. Join us as the delightfully sarcastic and cynical manager John Stone finds himself teaming up with Ed Parlor, mystery writer and amateur sleuth, in a wacky race against time. Could the murderer be Lady Riverdale, owner of the resort, Ralph Deadwood, gym instructor (and all around cad), or one of the many other characters onsite? This murder mystery farce will have you rolling in the aisles! Death by Chocolate combines all the elements of classic murder mysteries with a scathing satire of today’s health crazes.
